My trip to Auroville(07-02-2020 to 09-02-2020)

My experience on the day that is Karthik, Myself and Sridhar had started from Bangalore to Auroville on 07-02-2020 till the day that is we reached to Bangalore from Auroville on 09-02-2020

My experience on Day 1(07-02-2020) from Bangalore to Auroville
Karthik had come to Mantri Gardens to pick me and Sridhar. We had started from Bangalore at 07:15 a.m. We went through Koramangla, HSR Layout, Madiwala, Electronic City, Silk Board and Hosur Road.  We went in National Highway route and Karthik was driving using cruise control in his seat and car went very fast because it is automatic that is Ford Eco Sport. We stopped at Murugan Idli Shop for breakfast and coffee. The drive was 10 hours from Bangalore to Auroville.

After breakfast at Murugan Idli Shop, then we drove from Hosur to Tiruvanamalai.  We went through Hosur, Vellore, Ambur and Tiruvanamalai. While going we saw the hills view of the road, enjoyed nature and saw lots of fields. We were listening to lot of songs in the car and were dancing and enjoying. We reached Tiruvanamalai Ramana  Ashram at 11:30 a.m.  Ramana Ashram is a place meant for meditation and we observe silence. The place where Ramana Maharishi attained silence and used to meditate.

From Ramana Ashram we went to Skanda Ashram that is climbed up the hills and saw the view of the buildings, temples and houses. Skanda Ashram was the place where people meditate and lot of foreigners had come to Skanda Ashram for meditation and taking blessings of Lord Ramana Maharishi. We did a mindful walk means we should not do things so fast, we must take slow steps at a time and must take actions and be mindful.

From Skanda Ashram, we climbed down the hills and came back to Ramana Ashram. While going down the hills we took some juice and refreshed ourselves.

 From Tiruvanamalai we went to have lunch at Vasanth Bhavan that is passed through Tindivanam     via Villupuram road. After having lunch we went to Auroville. We stayed at Habari Guest House.  Auroville is a place for nature and also for relaxation. We went to the room and once going to the room we rejuvenated ourselves and took a walk to Auroville Visitor Center. We used the open BIO Toilet at Auroville. At Auroville Visitor Center we took some hot drink and enjoyed nature. We saw full greenery, lots of trees and was relaxing and enjoying. Auroville Visitor Center is a place where foreigners come and enjoy.

From Auroville Visitor Center we went to African Pavilion. African Pavilion is a place where people come and stay there to attend Auroville Marathon which keeps happening every year.

We did some running in the evening around Matri Mandir, Laura Guest House which was the place where Karthik and Preethi had stayed there and saw lot of nature, lot of coconut trees and also greenery and enjoyed the peace and calmness and beauty of environment. After we finished running we refreshed ourselves and then went to take dinner. We had dinner at Dosa Corner and took kambucha drink and kulfi ice-cream.

 After having dinner we were sitting in the bench and relaxing and talking on life. After we finished talking on life then we went to the room and took rest.

My experience on Day 2(08-02-2020) at Auroville

On 08-02-2020 we got up in the morning and refreshed ourselves.

After refreshing ourselves we did some running and once running got over we went to take cold water bath. We took cold water bath that is water was very cold and was a nature bath(open bath) in bathroom. Once when bath was over we went to take breakfast at Auroville Bakery. After breakfast we came back to African Pavilion and had to collect our BIB and T-shirt for Auroville Marathon.  We went to Visitor's Center and paid Rs.800 for Auroville Marathon Stay and Karthik paid for solar kitchen. We saw the globe inside Auroville Visitor Center.

After Visitors Center we went to Habari Guest House. At Habari Guest House we saw Bryan who is a foreigner from Capacino located at California and were having some discussions. We went to Solitude Farm in the afternoon and took a walk around Solitude Farm and enjoyed nature. Krishna who is the owner of Solitude Farm talks about how organic wastes are converted into manure and also these animal wastes gets segregated. We saw the garden farm where all fruits and vegetables are grown.

After seeing farm we went and had lunch. When lunch was over we were relaxing and enjoying the nature and seeing the beauty.

After Solitude Farm we went to Auroville Visitor Center and I took ice cream at Milano. We were talking to Bryan and also he had played guitar. He is a guitarist. I also played guitar.

In the evening from African Pavilion we went for a drive to Auroville Beach. At Auroville Beach we were enjoying the waves of water, also nature and lots of people swimming in the beach.

From the beach we went to Auroville Visitor Center to have dinner.  After having dinner we went to the room and took good rest for Sunday Marathon.

My experience on Day 3(09-02-2020) from Auroville to Bangalore

On 09-02-2020 we got up in the morning and refreshed ourselves. After refreshing ourselves before marathon started some exercises like warm up and stretches were done.

The half marathon started at 6:15 a.m. and ended at 8:45 a.m. The marathon was 2 hours 30 minutes and I paced Karthik and Karthik and I got a medal in finishing half marathon 21.1 kms.

After finishing marathon we took some coconut water and breakfast. Once completing breakfast we went to Auroville Visitor Center and relaxed for sometime. Then there was a library at Auroville Visitor Center. Karthik got some books from Auroville Visitor Center. From Auroville Visitor we went to Matri Mandir. Karthik had to get the visitors pass which was free for Matri Mandir. There are some buses also arranged for pick up and drop for tourists. At Matri Mandir the video was showcased that the entry timings are in morning and afternoon and Sundays only half day. Even concentration center is the center where people only focus on concentration and not on meditation. Auroville is a place for beauty, nature, self relaxation, self healing mind and also souling of body.

After finishing Matri Mandir, we went to Habari Guest House. We took some rest as we were very tired after half marathon 21.1 km. We went to have lunch at solar kitchen. At solar kitchen we enjoyed the nature, beauty and also calmness and stillness.

After lunch we went to Habari Guest House and took some rest. Upon completion of rest we went to take cold water bath again nature open bath and then got ready to leave back to Bangalore.

We left at 4:05 p.m. from Auroville and came via Auroville, Tiruvanamalai, Krishnagiri. There was a stop for tea at Krishnagiri and came through Krishnagiri,  Sholivandan, Hosur, Silk Board, Electronic City, Madiwala, Koramangla, Dairy Circle and Jayanagar and reached at 10:05 p.m. 

We all had a good and enjoyable trip to Auroville and enjoyed ourselves.

    One of the best Auroville Trip i have ever experienced in last 10 years. Each and every moment captured by you is very true and we(you, me and sridhar) had a wonderful time together.

    And i must say you are a TRUE Rock Star finishing your first Half Marathon in flying colors!
    I know you would have felt very happy considering the training efforts you have put into it.
