My Trip to Farm on 19-12-2019

We went to Shiv Shankar's house at Whitefield and from Shiv Shankar's house, Myself, Karthik and Shiv Shankar had gone to visit the farm which is at Hosur and had left from Shiv Shankar's house at 9:00 a.m. and reached Hosur farm at 10:30 a.m.

We went by Shiv Shankar's car which was Toyota Fortuner and passed through Whitefield, Varthur, Attibele, Anekal, Hosur road going towards Dharmapuri and Hoggenakkal and Krishnagiri, Dendanikottai.

After reaching the farm, Shiv Shankar was explaining about how the fencing of the wire is done using fences and about the bore well that is the bore well is dug deep into the ground and how the water is drawn using bore well. Shiv Shankar talks about the pipes so that elephants don't come in the night to drink water from the pipes and the water pipes close at night to avoid elephants coming from the jungle to the farm. We took a walk and saw murankai plants, pomegranate plants, lemon plants, saw the drip irrigation how water is irrigated into the pond, connection of the wire that is sound of volt capacity means the sound of the current, avathi kheera plants, green leaves, mango leaves of the tree, coconut trees, tamarind trees(how the branch is grown on the tree), saw the rocks view that is the Ramanagara trek which we had done in June, saw the clouds that is the weather, sat on the rocks and enjoyed the nature, saw custard apple plants, toran parpu plants, bouganvilla plants and lots of trees in the garden. We had some fruits in the farm and enjoyed. We had lunch in the farm and saw how barren land has turned into fertile land. The plants become dry in summer. So the weather becomes dry and also during rainy season soil becomes fertile and looses texture.  We took some vegetables like beans and avarakkai from the farm.

Shiv Shankar explained how seeds turn into saplings and saplings in turn turn into plants. We had lunch at the farm and after lunch Shiv Shankar was experimenting the fencing wires that is measuring using volt meter to measure the volts of the wire.

From the farm, we went via Hosur road, passed through Dendanikottai road, saw chicken farms that is chickens stay in the cage and saw ragi fields how ragi is grown and harvested. We stopped at Mathigiri for coffee in hotel. While coming in the car Shiv Shankar, Karthik and Myself were discussing about how ants meditate in a group and ants should do proper planning, take action , talks about religion, low fats give us low sugar as we must avoid fatty acids, iodine helps in cleansing our body, inherited genes.  We were discussing about how government is going to demolish the house and construct buildings. We reached Shiv Shankar's house at Whitefield and from Shiv Shankar's house we went to Karthik's parents house.

At Karthik's parents house I had given some vegetables which we had got from Shiv Shankar's farm at Hosur. I took some coffee and then Karthik dropped me at SAP Labs Whitefield as I had to take the bus to Yelahanka.

It was a nice experience and I would be given an opportunity next time to visit the farm after 10 years.
