My trip to Munnar in October 2005

My vacation had started on 24-09-2005 and my parents and I had decided to visit Munnar from 06-10-2005 to 10-10-2005. We went by 6041 Alleppey Express from Chennai and reached Ernakulam in the morning on 07-10-2005.

After reaching Ernakulam in the morning, we went by car to Munnar. The car was Tata Indica and number was 4728. We went from Ernakulam in the morning and reaching Munnar in the afternoon.

On the way, there was a stop for breakfast at some hotel. We don't know the name of the hotel. After breakfast, we proceeded to Munnar for a drive. We went through Ernakulam, Theni, Thekaddy, Alapatty, Munnar Tea Estates Road and Munnar. I enjoyed the drive and saw full nature, beauty and lots of tea garden estates in and around Munnar. We went through full hilly areas touching the ghat section road, saw the view of the tea garden estates and also lots of tea plants grown in tea gardens. The weather was beautiful and it was very pleasant. We had seen lots of factories of wind mills and tea plants surrounded with tea leaves and tea gardens.

We reached Munnar in the afternoon and stayed at Hotel Mermaid.

After reaching the hotel, we took a wash and went to take lunch. After having lunch, we went for sight-seeing. We went by same car 4728 Indica to Mattupetty Dam, Munnar Tea Estates, Thekkady Lake View Point and then came back to the hotel.

After sight seeing we went to the room and took some rest and then went for a walk outside and enjoyed the beauty and nature. We took dinner outside at some hotel and came back to the room and went off to sleep.

Next day on 08-10-2005, we got up in the morning and freshened up to take breakfast. After having breakfast we went for sight-seeing by car 4728 Indica. We went for sight-seeing to Coimbatore View Point, Thekkady Lake View Point, Munnar Tea Garden Estates and took lunch.

After sight-seeing we took lunch at some hotel near Hotel Mermaid. Once when lunch got completed we went back to the room and took some rest. After taking rest, in the evening we went for a walk outside enjoying the nature, scenery, weather and beauty. Post completion of walk we took dinner and then came back to the room and had gone off to sleep.

Next day on 09-10-2005 we got up in the morning and took a wash and got ready to take breakfast. After breakfast we came back to the room and then left to Ernakulam.

We had reached Ernakulam in the afternoon and afternoon we went to the port for shipping.

From the port we went to some hotel to take lunch. Then once when lunch was over we went to M.G. Road to buy some clothes.

After shopping at MG Road we went to Ernakulam station to take train 16042 Alleppey Express back to Chennai. We had left from Ernakulam on 09-10-2005 in the evening and reaching Chennai on 10-10-2005 in the morning.
